a multi-week educational program exclusively for AWBC members to implement long-lasting change.

  • Two in-person seminar days covering:

    • nutrition for lifting;

    • a look at the psychology behind why it’s hard to stick to goals and what you can do to hack your habits;

    • tools to understand and tackle issues with:

      • sleep;

      • circadian rhythm;

      • hormones;

      • stress, and more!

  • Certified nutrition coach-led group coaching to tackle your individual needs & provide accountability;

  • Ongoing support from coaches and fellow members to achieve your goals over the course of the program and beyond

  • A lifetime membership to the exclusive AWBC Nutrition and Wellness Facebook group (so long as you are a member of the club).

  • In-person seminar dates (you must be able to attend these dates to participate): February 4 & March 4 @1-4PM

Meet Your Coaches:

Dena Mellick - Program Director

Dena is a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) and a Certified Nutrition Coach (NASM-CNC) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is a coach for the Atlanta Women’s Barbell Club and Atlanta Barbell.

Alissa Orr - Group Coach

Alissa began powerlifting in 2017 and quickly learned how properly fueling your body can benefit your training, recovery, and life. She is a Precision Nutrition Level I Coach and wants to help others build good habits around food that general wellbeing.

 
 

Alex Beasley - Group Coach

Alex is a certified Women’s Fitness Specialist(WFS) & a Precision Nutrition Level I Coach. Alex has coached hundreds of women in their journey to becoming stronger and believes it is an important aspect of physical longevity and general awesomeness.

 FAQs:

Will I receive a meal plan or macronutrients plan?

No, this seminar is not individualized nutrition coaching. It’s a program designed to help you identify your goals and change your habits through education on-going support

I can’t make the in-person seminars, will there be a recorded version available?

No, to take part in the program, you must be able to attend and participate in both in-person seminar dates; no recorded version will be offered.

What if I don’t have a Facebook account?

You’ll need to create an account in order to access portions of the online group support section of the program.

What if I need individualized nutrition programming beyond this?

Nutrition coaches* Dena Mellick and Alissa Orr offer individualized nutrition coaching services; reach out to either of them for their fees and programs!

*The purpose of wellness and nutrition coaching is to educate and empower clients to lead healthier, happier lives. Certified nutrition coaches do not diagnose or treat any diseases, disorders or conditions.

How much does the program cost?

The program has a one-time fee of $175 due at the first in-person meeting.
